The Mysterious Spike in East Coast Sales of Generic Cialis

In January of 2006, William Bates, an executive at the company that made and sold Cialis began his commute home. A light snow had been falling when Bates had walked to his car. As he headed home, the snows got heavier. Eventually travel on the road became next to impossible.

Fortunately, on that night Bates was not in his usual hurry to get home. His wife and daughter had gone to visit some family friends. Bates knew that he would not have dinner with his family, and he was in no hurry to get home. Bates decided to stop at a restaurant and wait out the snowstorm.

Bates chose a restaurant next to a small cubicle at which magazines were sold. Bates bought a copy of the paper, and walked into the restaurant. When the waitress came to his table, Bates looked quickly at the menu and gave her his order. Then he sat and waited for his meal.

As Bates sat there waiting, he began to think about the letters he had read that afternoon. They had come from pharmacists in New York City and in Boston. Both had asked for a larger shipment of Generic Cialis. They both indicated that their male customers were suddenly buying-up much larger amounts of Generic Cialis.

Bates could not guess at what had motivated the male customers in New York and Boston to increase their demand for Cialis’ low cost ED pills. Bates wondered if the Business section would have some information on a rising interest in all ED pills. Perhaps his paper could offer clues as to whether or not men were also buying more Generic Viagra.

Bates studied the Business section of his paper. He could find no information there about the sales of Generic Viagra. The waitress brought his order, and so he put his paper aside. He sat there eating and thinking—thinking about the letters he had received from the New York and Boston pharmacists.

Bates finished his meal and asked for his check. Bates noted that he needed to take the check to the cashier. Once the waitress had given him the check, Bates picked up his paper and walked, check and paper in hand, to the cashier. While paying his bill, Bates laid is paper on the counter. He paid no notice as a second customer approached the cashier from the other side. That customer laid a magazine on top of Bates’ paper.

After Bates paid his bill his grabbed the materials that were in the spot where he had put his paper. He hurried out to the car and failed to notice the extra publication he had just picked-up. Only when he got home did Bates realize that he had carried to his car a copy of Wired Magazine, an issue released in November of 2005.

Since Bates had no family to talk to, he decided to read that magazine. He glanced at the Table of Contents. He noticed there was one article titled “Danger Zones.” Bates decided to read that article.

Bates soon had a suspicion as to why the men in New York and Boston were asking for more Generic Cialis. The magazine provided details about various possible disasters. It had forewarnings about the consequences of an Indian Point meltdown and a massive power failure in Boston.

Bates sensed that some young men might read that magazine and see reason to prepare for the possible disaster. If those young men now used either Generic Cialis or Generic Viagra, they might well decide to add to their supply of those ED pills.
